I dun know how easily you can get these stuff, but you shud be able to find it chinatown in australia. if you can get, they will probably ask you to add 'wai san, fok san' to the combination. i sound like i am running a chinese medicine shop pulak ;D ;D

Please bear in mind, I am no expert , so if in doubt, better consult the chinese medical hall leh , just sharing from my motherly experience. ;D ;D

hello, here's one tht is very easy for cough and phlegm: pears (you need the 'sar lei'), dont have to skin them but you need to remove the core and seeds. i usually will buy a whole pack as sold in the supermarkets. 'kaat pang' , 2-3 pieces - it's the dried citrus fruit sold in chinese medical halls rock sugar (adjust for taste) Boil all the ingredients together with water for abt 2 hours. Can drink it warm or cold.
And a really easy Japanese meal is the grilled teriyaki chicken. All you have to do is marinade chicken wings or drumsticks in teriyaki marinade for 1/2 hour. Then grill in the oven until the parts are nicely browned. The good thing abt this receipe is tht if you are on the go - you chuck the chicken in foil to the oven, get ready, get the chicken, then you can wrap it up in foil (juice and all) and eat in the car!

hello puppies, you are correct - chinese medical halls means kedai ubat cina. Alternatively, you can actually find some of the stalls in the wet markets selling the herbs.
