one more thing, i wonder if anyone seen the movie
<The Day After Tommorow> by director Roland Emmerich?
Despite dat this is a disaster movie, actually i found dat this is one of the most interesting & meaningful movie! I wonder if anyone realize those sub messages dat the director caried out besides the fact dat all this natural disasater happened because of human being's negligence to protect the mother nature & makin'
pollution ...
Everyone jus review the movie as a good movie with high technology effects jus like his previous mega movie- independant day .... But there r a few things dat i found out during my research on analizing & critics on this movie.
Did anyone remember about the liberty statue that was shown jus for a few secs? The symbol of freedom - Liberty, from the start a perfect one, den the liberty was drown by the flood, den covered with ice, den it broke down...
it was reflecting the American's freedom. It's freedom of speech, freedom of rights etc was challenged. And the president was the one who is on hold on his duty. Whether anot the meaning of freedom changes, it depends on the preisdent.
In dat movie, somehow it's reflecting the real America. Everyone knows dat America is like a big brother to other countries, in order for other people to "respect" them, they have to play the " big bro" role...
dat's why wen the Sep 11 incident happened, the Americans, should i say the preisdent who leads America has to attack bk the middle east, " to giv them some colors to see" ... because they cant lose face. anyways but is face more important than lives?
Every1 knows it's humiliating cos the the Pentagon was attacked ... n the WTC.
When the Americans attack the terrorist, how many non-terrorists including families were killed?
It all started with the conflicts with the Bush families. Dats y the terrorist attack wen Bush jr. is on president, why not wen it's Bill Clinton's time?
But it's never gonna end, cos wen last time wen Bush attack them, den on Sep 11 they revenge bk to his son, n America attack bk ... so on .. wen is it gonna stop?
Bk to the movie, wen the meteorgeologist sugested to the president to evacuate the ppl to the 3rd world country - mexico, at first the vise president was reluctant, because how could they ask help from the 3rd world countries? It ended up losing many lives ...
from there the meaning of the real freedom of the americans was questioned. actually they can have the rights to choose to live, but it all lies in the hand of a president even in this kind of critical situation~
another touching scene is wen the beggar wanted to run into the library to get shelter, he saw the poor dog freezing cold there n make up his mind to get in the library with the dog. And the guard said: " no pets allowed!" even in this kindda situations, rules r still implied? it is also reflecting the Americans where usually there r rules n regulations which makes their systems works wells, but some other case it meants dat is u r too rules-oriented n not flexible, negative impacts might rose as well.
But in the end, to let the south america and the other 3rd world countries to accept the Americans, they have agreed to abolish their debt. In the movie, this kindda situation not only happens in the America but half of the globe, which also indicates the change in the world supremacy.
Overall, i think this director is really talented, the way how he puts the message into a disaster movie, where it concerns about nature, human rights, humanity, loves ... and it predicts! Not long after this movie, Tsunami came, and there were news reported that Hawaii has falling ice ... Ouch ~
im not bias towards any groups, sitting on the fence lets us see alot !
haha, i know this is kindda long, but i jus wanna share ;D
