I have friends who are almost 21 and yet she's/THEY r not allow to go out for trips and etc with friends. And one of Jwong post reminds me to ask this question to all the uncles and aunties..
How old do you think you children are mature enough to handle things such as going for school trip/vacation with friend (local/aboard).
As for my parents, i got my so-called freedom when i was 13. But 10pm was my curfew and they know i wont go far. ;D

security nowadays not so good....too many social issues...crime, kidnap n etc... the more u wanders at night...the more ur expose to danger... when i am young, (i am not that old) i do like to wander til late night...or early morning... but few times kena police kacau..,roadblock....thats still fine....the worst when u met those thugs tat have nothing better to do...harassing u n demanding $$ from u...some even beat u up.....evonc...i assumed ur 21 years old....but remember....parents is the dearest person to us...they really care for us..when u wander at night....ur parents is actually worrying abt u...maybe they are waiting for u n they r not sleeping yet till u r back sound n safe..... i am not shy to admit...i am a guy in my late 20s but my parents still call me once a while if i am late home....but i never get upset..coz i know they care for me.... since u know ur limitations...follow strictly....as u grow...ur so-called freedom will come....

that is a very good question..
but it all depends on the maturity of the person and how sensible that person handles each situation....
with the current social problems and more riskier at public places, it has certainly changed a lot as compare what we used to have... the freedom is much lesser...

hahaha... if u proves urself as sensible enough, i'm sure there would be no curfew....
hmm thinking back... my curfews only happens when i am having major exam... other than that, my parents trusted me a lot... so i dont have much curfew even when i am young...
