I would have liked to post this comment at the 'rules and regulations' heading, but since I can't, please note that I am referring to Heather-JB's latest post under that heading. Kudos to her for pointing out these issues. As much as forummers here (including myself) would love to indulge in a private chat in a thread, we have to understand how others might find it difficult to participate in our private discussion. I have spoken to many prominent members, and have had the chance to speak to many potential members. We want DFC to be fun and stress-free, but unawarely it seems to be transforming into a private chatroom, comfortable only for a selected few active members who always post. As Heather-JB said, we can have fun, but our posts also have to be productive. Don't worry about English, don't worry too much about whether your posts will fit into the context-->we want to hear your thoughts. However, referring to Heather-JB's regulation on thanking people who share files/pictures, I am still of the opinion that these people are deserving of thanks, but certainly not in the way it is done now. I propose that it be done in a way such as www.jay-chou.net/forums (please refer), which compiles all the thanks of the members in one post. Thank you and please do continue having fun in the forum.

Should we open a Thank You thread and make it sticky? in Idolforum, when I download the AI4 videos, I even lazy to browse the next posts...cos all were TQ...TQ... unless i have problem opening the video file then I will post lor...

Should we open a Thank You thread and make it sticky? in Idolforum, when I download the AI4 videos, I even lazy to browse the next posts...cos all were TQ...TQ... unless i have problem opening the video file then I will post lor... That is a good option. I doubt that our system supports a single 'thank you' post like jay's thread. I think that expressing appreciation is still very important, but if the majority of the posts are posts which intend to thank someone, it gets a little bit troubling.

I agree to this clearance but i think the Thank you's are actually important as well because it makes people feel their effort is appreciated^^ its like if you upload a file that is say 100mb and it took you almost half a day and you posted it... the next day you check it, it either has 100downloaders but NO or few commentors... or you link has expired due to bandwidth overuse again with little or no comments at all you would feel that your effort in putting it up was not worth it... but of course i'm not suggesting people just post thank you and thats it maybe they can elaborate about it... and so on.
Lately i rarely visit the "off topic", "chilipadi", "boys and girls", "aunty and uncle" parts of the forum because when i get in there i get so lost^^;;

now there's a few problem..like in the music n movie column..there r a lot of threads that r repeated as pinkies dun realize that the thread they open is already there..this is bcuz there r too many threads until got so many pages..mayb the administrator shud go n hv a look n mayb lock n delete those threads if neccessary..some threads r no longer being visit..so i tink the moderator shud go n hv a look in music n movies thread..i hope pinkies will help out in this clearance..for example,pinkies can come here to report about spamming or repeated threads or mayb PM the moderator themselves to make the moderators work much more easier..
