did you all read one book entitled Chinese Cinderella???had a good cry when i read it..the story was so sad..the little girl was so pitiful..they say itz true story, but i dun tink so lar..at least not 100% true..cuz they mentioned that the girl was 4 years old when all those started..how can a 4year old girl remember so well n wrote the book when she is bout 40 something if i not mistaken . this book is written by Adeline Yen Mah. she wrote books like Falling Leaves, Watching the Tree n A Thousand Pieces of Gold... I personally feel that her books taught me many things... it made me realised how lucky i m now... visit her website: www.adelineyenmah.comher books can be found in Popular under the Biography section...

melody, go pinjam the book from idolhunter-lah... this way, u get rich faster... because u got his 'secret book' !!! Sorry la.. that book I had was 20 over years ago... ;D dont know where it is.. or someone must have taken it.. it was so long time ago...and I have forgotten what it was.. becos I have read so many books of the same kind.. ;D but one thing very clear in my mind about the book was.. about a worker of Henry Ford...when you want something very badly.. you would do anything to get it...its all in your thoughts and action. think and act... and things will move... it must be a combination of both that make people successful. Knowledge is NOT power... if it is then all the teachers in the world will be powerful peope and millionaires.. ;D It is the ACTION from what knowledge you that drives and move things... that's the main theme of the book... use your thoughts and act... ;D

The trouble is that he doesn't know what the problem is How can one solve a problem when one does not know what the problem is??? ;D ;D

;D had been long since I last post in the forum. MIA for quite some time. I like to read children story books when I was young too, borrowed from the school library. "Grid" Blyton was the popular one then(still is actually). Yes you read it correctly, I was very young then and did not really read the author introduction before I read those books. So I read Enid Blyton as "Grid" Blyton simply because her signature in front of the cover of every of her books that I've ever read.... silly. I only got to know it's actually Enid after I stop reading her books, some-time in junior high school. Now I read lots of fashion magazine, to me I find them knowledgable and keep me in trend. Leisure reading, John Grisham is one of my choice. Lawyer wannabe may find a tip or two

hahaha... foxy ! the E looks like G indeed ! i loves book a lot, even during the primary school time, i rather stay in the library, because it 'smells' of new books a lot ! i like the smell of new books... hahaha when i was in standard 6, i was a librarian. And i always uses the excuse to stay in the library to do the library works, to skip classes! So, my grades really drop much on that year. But i read a lot of books there. And when i was in the secondary school, i dont quite like the books there initially.. because those books were so old. And they are so thick. I even chance upon real book worm among the pages ! There are two autobiography that i specifically bought to read. One is the rasputin, the other is the ' diary of Anne Frank'. why rasputin? he's a mad monk.. but dont know why, while browsing in the bookstore, i got intrigued to read about his life... probably part of him is history, and connected to the tzar's family... and anne franks's ones, the photos in the book is what moved me the most. Because its so real, and seing a young gal losing her life eventually...

I only got to know it's actually Enid after I stop reading her books, some-time in junior high school. hehe, same like me!! i tot the name was weird at that time, but i totally loved the books! I became a member of numerous libraries just to read the entire Enid Blyton's collection of books! I managed to finish a few series throughout the years! as i grew up, i turned to more matured novel, i particularly like romance novels ;D hehe, and after influenced by Secret Seven, Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys,i loved mystery novels as well. My fav author is currently Sidney Sheldon, and i've read most of her books available in my Uni library!! I also read a mixture of other novels and books. I've read several BM novels b4 but its not easy to find a nice one in libraries. Reading has helped improve my language command a lot, thus it's a good habit that should be instilled from young!
