i hav this one experience by my brother that i can share with you...
My younger brother used to work in Terengganu, and came back some weekends to KL. So, they hav to travel those distance back to KL.
He and three of his friend, one day was coming back to KL. It was a heavy rain afternoon. He fell asleep sitting the back passenger seat. Suddenly he was awaken by lots of water.
rupa -rupanya, the car has fallen into a ditch. Apparently, there was massive floods, and his friend couldnt differentiate the road and the ditch, because of the flood.
And water was fast seeping into the car. See this, its a car with closed door, and the water still manages to seep inside the car. And the force of the flood is slowly moving the car too. So, my brother and his friend, quickly winds down the car window and climbs out of the car.
Luckily, they are all 3 guys. so, they could push the car back to the main road again.

Not really undertand the real situation. They can push the car in this situation? (No one driving inside the car that time?) Also luckily they are all with 'slim' body. ;D

haha, its flooded , and the car landed in a ditch.. so the flood water helps the car to float a bit, that makes pushing the car not so difficult, one person steer the steering wheel and two person push the car.
in normal circumstances, three person is enough to push a car also..., free gear la... ( i'm not sure u can do this with an auto gear car that has stalled )

Here is sum of the silly experience that i've gone through.. I was driving to coll 8am in the morning and it was jam in federal highway.. sumwhere near subang that HUGE clock there. Then suddenly a black iswara knock my back.. I got shock and came down w/o pulling the handbreak.. the car eventually start going backward.. lucky the car beside me give me a hon! It was a bad hit.. so loud that i called my dad and say the car number plate drop..and my dad ask me to take 20 bucks.. BUT reach coll i realise it was worst than that ;D My dad end up joking and say why i so silly! ;D The other one was during a heavy rain..my dad wanted to pick up sum document. He is frequent to the client place but for all the sudden it was raining heavily on that day.. to avoid getting wet my dad ran into the office without realising there's a er...sliding glass door.. He knock the glass and the glass broke into pieces and hit him. I didn't know what to do but stood there and cry. Anyone know how to traine ourself for not panicking during emergency?

evonc... probably u belong to the "emotional overules the practicality" group....
u hav to start training yourself lor.. be prepared for emergency. first, u must follows this step...
keep yourself calm, dont get too panicky. then u start asking yourself, what can you do in emergency ? in ur father case, ask urself, is your father hurts badly? what can you do to stop the bleeding? - is there any first aid box around? get the injured seated or lying in a comfortable position...
etc..
and its good that you read up in preparations, what you can do in event of emergency. At least, it helps give you some idea, what you can do in event of emergency.

Another Daniel story:
When Daniel was about about a year old, I gave him a piece of Marie biscuit thinking he was old enough to feed himself. He has a very big mouth as u can see , and he took a big bite of the biscuit. He tried to swallow the whole piece of biscuit and was choking . I panicked and didn't know what to do. He was gasping for air and turning purple. Luckily his uncle was next door in a coffee shop. He quickly grab his legs and hang him upside down and hit his back hard. That helped to get the piece of food out of his throat. Phew! Advise : Gave water to babies first if you want to feed him solid food and don't let a one year old feed himself.

Swan56. I had the similar one too. When my son was one, I didn’t notice when did he grab a piece chestnut (fortunately it was a small one) & he swallowed it. I was so nervous, fortunately, there were some experience aunties hit his back immediately but didn’t hang him upside down. And it worked!!! Ouf!!!! Since then, I am very careful with the kids although they are now 11 & 13.
