wow... u so "hang-fook", got teacher and HM to autographed ur buttock... lol! i guess, most boys goes through that experience eh..
let me share one very funny incidence i suddenly remembered...
my childhood friend, call her Jane... she was my best friend in my neighbourhood. We live in public government flats. She got a younger brother, whose nickname is " ah- pi ". Dunno why they calls him that, i forgot already..
so, living in public flat, we got this habit of calling out their names from out side the house. Because the flat is like an enclosed area, your voice will becomes very loud and clear, and u dont need to go all over the floors looking for someone.
so, i was talking with Jane outside her house, when her mom asked her to calls her brother home for lunch. He was out there playing at neighbour house, probably a few floor up...
then Jane called her brother lor, very loud.. " Ah...Pi! "..... " ah ... P i ! "...
called a few times, lots of neighbours and flats occupants came out to see. It took a few moments before she realized what she had done... haha
the peoples heard " API " because it do sounds like one, and must be wondering why this gal playing prank calling out "fire ".... ;D

Chilicandy, I had a good laugh on the A PI thing...haha ;D Well, my name is rather hard to pronouce.. When I was in promary school, most of my friends called my 'Yeam'..that's my surname.. Till now, there are still friends who call me that, especially the Malay friends.. When some of them phoned me, they asked for 'Yeam'... and we'll be wondering 'which Yeam'? cos everyone in the house also 'Yeam' la...except my mum ;D Then in secondary school, people started to call my real name; Shin Sar.. because of the double 'S'...they often miss pronounce.. some will call She Sha...it'll sound She Sha She Sha.. One of my friend's mum called me 'Sin Sia' Some of my relatives call me 'Mi Sar'.. this name was given to me by 'The Laughing Buddha'.. I was suppose to be named 'Mi Sar'.. But my grandpa wanted all his grandchildren to have 'Shin' as the middle name... So, my name jadi 'Shin Sar'... but there are still people calling me 'Mi Sar'..

In Uni, one of my friend called my 'Ah Gong' (stupid in Hokkien).. cos 'sar' --> stupid in Hokkien and Mandarin too Then, then the SARS disease came by... 'Sar' became 'Sars'... ;D One of my uncle even teased me.."See how many people you had killed!" ;D And now my nick, soursand comes from my real name.. sour---> shin (in Cantonese) and sand---> sar (in Canto)
