Sorry to keep some of you waiting for the translation of articles. i have not been well since Sunday, the results of 'luan luan jia' during CNY! The translation: The first time penning for a monthly student magazine, I put aside a heavy and complicated heart to share with all students my thoughts and feelings. Strictly speaking, I am still a student. I have applied for 2 semesters break from the university to take part in <<MI>> and to release my album. My first contact with music happened when I was about 2 ¨C 3 years old. When the other young children were watching cartoons, I was enjoying Dad¡¯s MTVs. Possibly due to the influence from my family members; I developed a special interest for music. Dad loves to play the guitar and my sisters were actively involved in the school band. A group of her friends who loved songs-writing used to come to our house. My parents sent me to a music school for guitar lessons when I was ten, and I have been playing the guitar for more than 10 years. I self-learn the other musical instruments such as the piano and the violin. Growing up in a small town, my parents did not think that there would be bright futures for music lovers. Music is a very healthy hobby but it is definitely not a career choice. We shifted to Penang 3 years ago. In this town, music industry is developed. I got to know friends who love to sing and to compose. Through them, I began singing part time in cafes. After Form Six, I did not take up a Management course but chose to read Music in USM. I was determined. If I cannot be a singer, I hope to be a professional musician or producer. I missed taking part in Season 1 <<MI>>. My friends who took part in it encouraged me to join in the Season 2 <<MI>>. To realize my dreams, I decided to give it a try! Even if I failed, it would serve as a great experience! I used to think that it was not difficult to sing. I was full of confidence, at times arrogant and self-conceited. After participating in the competitions, the stiff challenges and harsh comments made me realize that there were still lots or rooms for improvement. The competitions were not easy at all. We were always faced with tough challenges. I feel fortunate that by participating in the competitions. I was trained earlier to adapt to life as a singer because the journey as a singer is more challenging I have a tight schedule after winning in the competitions and I have less time for my family and friends. But as long as I am happy and I am busy for my dreams and interests, it is all worthwhile even if I am tired out. Let me share my experience with you: 1. Be persistent in your dreams. When you are confronted with defeats or failures, do not give up. Then only your dreams can be realized. 2. Besides concentrating in your school work, involve in extra-curricular activities, too. Cultivate good hobbies and get to know friends who share the same interests. 3. Be confident with your strength. But do not be arrogant or self-conceited. Learn from others to make up for self weaknesses.
